What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Personal Data
When visitors signup for the Stylish Baby Boomers Ezine Newsletter, we collect personal information including your First Name and Email to personalise Newsletters sent to you. Your Last Name is optional and not an essential part of receiving your Newsletter. Your country of Residence is collected to fulfil legal requirements for the European Union GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Data from ‘How you found me’ is optional and is used by Stylish Baby Boomers as a guide to marketing.
When you purchase a Personal Styling Service from Stylish Baby Boomers, your Phone Number and Address is collected for delivery of that personal service. As at June 2018 these services are only available to residents in South East Queensland, Australia. This will be updated if the personal services are expanded in the future.
For methods of payment you do have to submit financial payment details. I keep records of payment for Australian Government regulations. Your financial details are kept by those payment providers – PayPal and Credit Card Companies. Please check their Privacy Policies to ensure your satisfaction and safety.
We do not collect any sensitive data about you.
Information from Children
We do not collect information about children we know that are under the age of 16. This website is not designed to attract children under 16. If you are under the age of 16, please do not share your information with us.
Comments
Stylish Baby Boomers is a WordPress generated website. When visitors leave comments on this site we collect the data shown in the Comments Form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/ . After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
If you fill in our Contact Form, we only use the data to reply to you or to follow you up as a potential client. WordPress collects the data shown in the Contact Form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
We keep Contact Form submission data for a period of six months for customer service purposes. We do not use the data on the Contact Form for marketing purposes.

As a certified Image Consultant with Image Innovators, an Australian Image Company, Stylish Baby Boomers website is licenced to provide online styling programs – ‘Men of Style’ and ‘My Private Stylist’. These programs require you to enter personal information about your body features to enable the best clothing choices to be suggested for you. This data goes to the Image Innovators website. Should we be required by law to provide information about a user of this website or our Ezine Newsletter or services, we are obligated to do so. We will provide only that which is required and no more.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
