On 17 April 2014 I wrote about how Lace was then a current Fashion Trend. Now it’s time for the 2016 Lace Trend Update.
Lace has stayed around for two years. If full lace dresses, tops and skirts are still around next year, Lace is on its way to becoming a Modern Classic.
For this to happen, Lace will need to become a more versatile fabric ie easy to care for and easy to adjust for a perfect fit.
Fashion retailers hedge their bets. They will include a few full Lace dresses, tops and skirts along with a number of clothes with Lace touches. A touch of Lace has always been popular because it allows you to choose how much femininity, sensuality, elegance or natural Boho you want to add to your dressing style.
A touch of Lace adds variety and texture to your wardrobe. CLICK HERE to go back and read my 2014 article – ‘Lace – the Dress Flavour of the Season’ to remind yourself of the various ways you can add a touch of Lace or more to your wardrobe.
